Terms & Refunds

These terms cover this website and the pre-order list run by Soto Phone (represented by Kazuma Sasaki, “we”).
1. The pre-order list
- Signing up is free. It isn’t a purchase and no payment is taken.
- We’ll email you first about the launch and development progress.
- Soto Phone is in development. The price, launch date, specifications, points and partner shops aren’t decided and may change. We can’t promise that it will launch.
- You can unsubscribe or delete your data at any time (how).
2. Prototype trials
We’ll invite a small group from the people who ask to join. Conditions, dates and how the prototype is handled will be shared in writing with the invitation.
3. Fees and refunds
We don’t currently charge anything, so there are no payments to refund.
Before we start selling or taking deposits, we’ll clearly publish the price including tax, shipping, how and when you pay, delivery timing, return, cancellation and refund conditions, and the disclosures required by Japan’s Act on Specified Commercial Transactions. We will never charge hidden fees beyond the price shown.
4. Please don’t
- Sign up with someone else’s email address
- Make prank or automated bulk sign-ups
- Interfere with this site or the services it uses
5. Text, artwork and logo
The text, artwork, logo and design of this site belong to Soto Phone or their creators. Please don’t copy or republish them without permission.

All are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. The drawings, watercolour backgrounds and photo were prepared for this site.
6. Disclaimer
Information on this site describes a product in development and may change. Except in cases of our intent or gross negligence, we aren’t liable for damages arising from use of this site.
7. Changes
We’ll post any changes on this page and email you about important ones.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
